The Devil Wears Prada 2 added $338K (est. ₱20 million) on its third week in the Philippines, lifting its box office total to $3.177 million (est. ₱195 million). As it continues its march to ₱200 million, the global hit sequel has retained screens in key major malls to entice more Filipino moviegoers.
Similar to its U.S. performance, Michael has been enjoying solid week-to-week holds in the country. This week (May 13-17, 2026), the film saw another strong 36 percent drop, grossing $116,635 (est. ₱7 million). In four weeks, the Antoine Fuqua-directed biographical film has now made $1.347 million (est. ₱82.7 million).
JMFyang continues to charm audiences as well, with Almost Us adding ₱7 million (including grosses through May 19). The Regal Entertainment-Project 8 romcom has now earned ₱30 million in two weeks. Discussions have emerged on social media about whether the film can already be considered a box office hit or a disappointment. The answer falls somewhere in the middle. The current box office total matches the recent performance of local films such as Sisa and Lasting Moments. It will also help boost the film’s post-theatrical value (streaming and other ancillary revenues).
At the same time, for a mainstream romcom, reaching the century mark used to be the unofficial benchmark for being classified as a box office hit. Even with that number lowered, the film may still need a few more million to reach that status. One thing’s for sure: the loveteam has a bright future ahead of them.
Unfortunately, there are still no reports on Midnight Girls’ box office performance. Described as the dark horse of the month, the film appears to have fallen short of its full box office potential.
