Filipinos continued to pack cinemas last week (May 21–25) as Lilo & Stitch opened wide across the Philippines. However, the little extraterrestrial faced stiff competition for the top spot from the still-strong Final Destination: Bloodlines.

Indeed, death looms everywhere as Final Destination: Bloodlines dominated another week at the country with $1.6 million (est. ₱88.9 million), down a strong 54 percent from last week. It is clear that word-of-mouth and strong social media buzz have helped the film maintain its strong performance.
The horror has now grossed $6 million (est. ₱333 million) in two weeks, and is $900K away from Insidious: The Red Door ($6.9 million). With little direct competition in the last week of May and the first few weeks of June, Bloodlines is poised to continue its strong run in the country.
In second place, according to Box Office Mojo, Lilo & Stitch grossed $1.426 million (est. ₱79 million) during its opening in the country. However, the final total for the whole week has the film already at $1.648 million (est. ₱91.5 million). Its opening more than doubles that of recent Disney live-action adaptation Snow White ($851,148) and non-Princess adaptation Dumbo ($709,680).
Thunderbolts* took another harsh dive this week. The new ensemble film earned $51K (est. ₱2.85 million) in its fourth week, bringing its total to $3.13 million. Unfortunately, with this drop, the film is unlikely to surpass the final total of Captain America: Brave New World ($3,239,714).
