Deadpool 3 added $19.4 million during the 4-day weekend which brings its domestic total now up to $603 million. Reaching $650 million is now a question of when. Meanwhile, it's global total is now at $1.26 billion. When listed among Marvel Cinematic Universe films both domestically and globally, it only ranks under the Avengers movies, Spider-Man: No Way Home, & Black Panther - an impressive roster to be with.
Alien Romulus remained at #2 this holiday weekend with $11.5 million for a 3-week total of $90.9 million. China continues to boost its international numbers with $92 million. The supposed Hulu release has now banked $283.5 million globally.
It Ends With Us also continued to rake money everywhere. The Blake Lively drama added $9.5 million domestically and $15.8 million overseas. Domestic total is now at $135 million and $285.8 million globally. Passing Fifty Shades of Grey ($166 million) domestically may be in question but it can narrow the gap as it can still play well for the whole month of September.
Top newcomer this weekend belonged to Reagan which settled at fourth place with $9.2 million. The delayed film about the U.S. president carries a $25 million budget. Film received an 'A' Cinemascore and played well in Middle America.

The next top newcomer this weekend was Afraid from Sony with $4.47 million - not-so-good even with its $12 million production budget. Both critics (26% RT score) and audiences ('C+' Cinemascore) weren't hot on it either.
Reawakening the Disney-Pixar tradition during Labor Day, Inside Out 2 also a little boost this weekend as it returned to 2,660 theaters. The animated sequel collected $4 million for a three-month total of $651 million. It also ended the debate over The Lion King (2019) for the highest grossing animated film as it also passed this week the 2019 live-action adaptation with $1.667 billion. Now ranks #9 all time, it is bound to surpass Jurassic World ($1.671 billion) as the eighth highest grossing film globally by next weekend.
After Disney, Universal came in second place this Summer among studios with $757 million followed by Sony ($520 million) and Paramount ($250 million).
