Insidious: Out of the Further remains the #1 movie in the Philippines for the third week in a row.
As of September 6, the sixth entry in the horror franchise has grossed ₱393,373,490 in the country, enough to overtake Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and become the second-highest-grossing movie in the Philippines.

Distributor Columbia Pictures now holds the top two spots this year with Insidious and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Speaking of Spidey, the Deston Daniel Cretton-directed film has now grossed an amazing $22.6 million (est. ₱1.4 billion) in the country. According to Deadline, the Philippines is #14 among the biggest markets of the blockbuster film, ahead of Malaysia ($20.2 million).
July and August 2026 has been a boon for exhibitors thanks to Moana, The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Insidious: Out of the Further. In the local scene, Cinemalaya 2026 also saw a double digit increase compared to its 2025 edition with ₱18.5 million. As more adult fares dominate Hollywood (which is less popular in the country) during their Fall season, local films are seen to continue the momentum with the likes of Always Yours, Never Mine, Pee Mak, and Remember. There's also room for breakouts such as Resident Evil, Forgotten Island, and Edjop.
