Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now surpassed ₱1 billion at the Philippine box office, according to Columbia Pictures.
Specifically, the film has grossed ₱1,055,450,903, making it the third-highest-grossing film of all time in the country. It has now passed the likes of Rewind, Frozen 2, and Beauty and the Beast. Given that it opened to ₱587 million last week, the film actually held up pretty well in its second week.

The party is not yet over for distributor Columbia Pictures. While Spidey is expected to continue posting blockbuster numbers until the end of the month, they have another big title coming very soon: Insidious: Out of the Further. Midnight screenings are already doing well, as expected, for the upcoming horror flick.
Meanwhile, The Odyssey is reportedly now the second-highest-grossing film of the year.
Over in local fare, Cinemalaya 2026 has begun at Shangri-La Plaza and select Ayala Malls Cinemas. Multiple sold-out shows have been reported for various films, including 2 Valid IDs. The festival is expected to attract even more Filipino moviegoers until August 18.
