'Shake, Rattle, & Roll: Evil Origins' debuts at #10 on Netflix's Non-English Movie Chart with 1.4 million views

Regal Films' latest entry in the Shake, Rattle, & Roll franchise, Evil Origins, topped Netflix Philippines during the week of July 27–August 2, 2026. With 1.4 million views, the MMFF 2025 horror hit not only ranked first on the local charts but also placed tenth on Netflix's global Non-English Movie Chart.

In the film, set in 1775 during the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines, a group of nuns attempts to survive the night after an unknown evil is unleashed in their cloister. Meanwhile, in 2025, a group of friends attends a Halloween masquerade ball that is attacked by a serial killer. Fast forward to 2050, where a post-apocalyptic Philippines is ruled by the aswang.

Meanwhile, fellow MMFF 2025 entry Unmarry slipped just one spot to second place in its second week on the service. Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles' Wonderful Nightmare also remained in the Top 10, ranking eighth on the local charts this week.

In the series category, ABS-CBN's Someone, Someday held steady at the top spot in its second week. The Kathryn Bernardo-led series is the first show in quite some time to remain at No. 1 for a second consecutive week on Netflix.
