Catch the Cinemalaya 2025 entries at UPLB this April during CineElbi 2026: Hit Wave

CineElbi, in partnership with the UPLB Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts, returns once again this April 28–30 to bring a powerful slate of Filipino films to UP Los Baños.

Now officially a film festival, CineElbi 2026: Hit Wave brings six Cinemalaya 2025 films with a specific goal in mind.

“Hangad nitong padaluyin ang naratibong nanggagalugad sa iba’t ibang paraan ng paghihiganti ng tao sa mga kalamidad na sumasalakay sa kanilang lupa, komunidad, at katawan,” according to its press release.

This year’s lineup includes:

  • Cinemartyrs by Sari Dalena (April 28, 4 PM)
  • Bloom Where You Are Planted by Noni Abao (April 28, 7 PM)
  • Paglilitis by Raymund Barcelon and Cheska Marfori (April 29, 4 PM)
  • Raging by Ryan Machado (April 29, 7 PM)
  • Republika ng Pipolipinas by Renei Dimla (April 30, 4 PM)
  • Padamlagan by Jenn Romano (April 30, 7 PM)

The festival will be held at the NCAS Auditorium. Tickets are priced at ₱120 for students and PWDs, ₱150 for regular audiences, and ₱600 for a festival pass. Tickets may also be purchased online through the this link. CBO is an official media partner for the event.
