The Maris Racal-led film opened with 1.2 million on the streaming service during the November 24-30 tracking week, enough to get the seventh spot on the global non-English movie chart for the week. This is a solid opening for a film that delves down on issues such as teenage pregnancy.

The film follows a young gymnast who discovers she is pregnant on the week of the national team tryouts. On her way to a seller of illegal abortion drugs, she meets a mysterious girl who eerily talks and thinks like her.

The opening is also in line with another R-16 film, Lilim, which debuted with 1.1 million views back in July. Flower Girl is also performing steadily on Netflix, placing second on the local film chart this week.
