‘Predator: Badlands’ slays PH Box Office as ‘Meet, Greet & Bye’ and ‘Wicked’ Loom

Disney and 20th Century Studios can boast another #1 movie in the Philippines, as Predator: Badlands tops the box office charts.

The latest entry in the Predator franchise opened with $281,250 (est. ₱16.5 million) during the week of November 5–9, 2025. Yes, that figure is enough to secure the top spot, thanks to the sluggish performance of October’s slate. On the brighter side, the opening surpassed last month’s Tron: Ares, another franchise Disney attempted to relaunch in theaters, which grossed $253,058.

With strong critical and audience scores, the film will likely manage a solid second-week hold in the country before this month’s heavyweights arrive.

Tron: Ares fell 93 percent this week, grossing $2,279 (est. ₱134K). After five weeks, the film has now grossed $576,649 (est. ₱34 million). Quezon also continued playing in cinemas during the week. While no new official figures have been released, it’s safe to assume that the film remains last month’s highest-grossing local title.

Meanwhile, Ayala Malls Cinemas’ exclusive Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere advance previews opened to a paltry $80 (est. ₱4.6K). The film officially opens on November 12. Universal Pictures’ Bugonia opened to $24,000 (approximately ₱1.4 million), which is down from Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone’s last collaboration, Poor Things ($84,914).

Over in presales, Star Cinema’s Meet, Greet & Bye is showing some early momentum. Based on CBO’s independent presales tracking, the Cathy Garcia-Sampana drama is pacing at about twice the rate of Quezon though still far behind the likes of love-team hits such as Un/Happy For You. It’s a good position for now, but it would be a pleasant surprise if the film opens in double digits on Wednesday.

Wicked For Good, on the other hand, has already achieved the biggest advance ticket sales of the year in the Philippines. Multiple advance and special screenings have already been scheduled, with the Philippines’ first-ever ScreenX also opening alongside the film’s local premiere.

Update: Springsteen is yet to open in PH cinemas.
