'And The Breadwinner Is...' adds 1.3 million global views on Netflix; 'Green Bones' debuts at #2 on PH

MMFF 2024 movies continue to enjoy being discovered or rewatched on Netflix from the week of June 16-22, 2025. Meanwhile, viral sensation KPop Demon Hunters debuts decently in the country.

Jun Lana's And The Breadwinner Is... scores another 1.3 million views on the streaming service, equivalent to 2.7 million hours viewed. In two weeks, the dramedy has already accumulated around 3.9 million views. It has also stayed in the top ten charts of two more markets: Qatar and United Arab Emirates.

MMFF 2024 Best Picture winner Green Bones, on the other hand, debuts at #2 on the local charts. The Zig Dulay-directed feature starring Ruru Madrid and Dennis Trillo premiered on the service last Thursday, June 19. Uninvited also places in the chart for the third consecutive week, placing 9th this time.

Sony's KPop Demon Hunters debuts at fifth place on the local chart. The film exploded on social media over the weekend, as it touches both modern and classic themes. It remains to be seen if it can sustain its viewership (9 million globally this week) in the coming weeks.
