Golden Globe Nominee Dolly de Leon joins the cast of Netflix's 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'

Dolly de Leon is joining the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe!

The Golden Globe Nominee will play Lo and Li, firebending mentors to Azula, princess of the Fire Nation in the upcoming second season of the hit Netflix original series.

“I’m extremely excited and honored to be part of an iconic live action version of an animated cult classic. It’s my first time to play twins, which is the best fun in a creative process. It’s a dream come true,” shared by CreaZion Studios artist Dolly de Leon on being a part of another franchise that is beloved by many. 

Back in 2024, Netflix renewed the series for a second and third season as the adaptation received 21.2 million during its opening week on the streaming service. 

“We’re proud to see Filipino talent represented in a globally beloved series. At CreaZion Studios, we’ve always believed in telling stories that resonate beyond borders—and this moment reflects that commitment. It’s more than just a role; it’s a statement of how far our creatives can go,” said RJ San Agustin, CEO, CreaZion Studios.

According to Netflix, production for the second season has already wrapped which is expected to have a 2026 release date.
