KathDen just resuscitated the box office. Hello, Love, Again opened to an outstanding ₱85 million on its opening day. Not only is this the highest grossing opening gross yet for a local movie, but this is also the fourth highest opening for any movie that has opened in the country - only behind Avengers: Endgame (₱205 million), Avengers: Infinity War (₱141 million), and Inside Out 2 (₱88 million).

The opening number is also 150% higher than what its predecessor did back in 2019 (Hello, Love, Goodbye opened to ₱34 million. Carrying the goodwill of its predecessor, the film also was able to bring even more audiences on day one compared to Goodbye if we account ticket inflation.
This is a big win for the entire industry which did not have a huge hit for months. Together with Red One last week and upcoming features Wicked and Moana 2, November is guaranteed to bring millions at the box office.
As we've previously reported a week ago, pre-sales have been through the roof propelled by fans around the country. With this opening, expect a strong opening week gross for the highly anticipated sequel.
